This place has medium to Low reviews. But it's 5am and I was hungry so didn't care. Place is bright and sunny and staff friendly. Menu was posed by another yelper and is still up to date as end of July 2015. I had sausage patty with poached eggs was medium but did the trick. Functional place friendly service I would use again

Old restaurant, Food is good, service as well. I get the pulled pork, and it's always good. Prices are reasonable.

We ate breakfast here. The sign said "eggs benedict" which is what drew us in: I love eggs benedict and I am not the only one. It is not on the menu, which means I guess that they don't usually have it, it was special. I told them they should add it to the menu. They were awesome. Very good hollandaise sauce, perfectly cooked eggs, thick delicious ham and bacon. Hangover food. My wife got chicken fried steak, which I finished for her. It was not very good. Coffee was pretty terrible: like warm dishwater. Service was excellent. Your coffee cup will never be empty, even in the event that you like it enough to actually drink it. Take your grandma here. Decor is dark and dated. She will love it.

Group of 10 guys on a motorcycle tour stops in for dinner. On the plus side, they had a big table for us and the server was knowledgeable, attentive and nice. On the minus side: -The food wasn't very good. Even the BBQ sauce seems like it came out of a jar... and supposedly that's their staple. -The "salad bar" was more like a medium pan of prepackaged mixed salad/veggies, a few vats of dressing, and a couple of add-ins like pasta, peas, and mushrooms. Kind of laughable to be honest. -The décor was, well, worn. Oh and the back room where we were seated smelled like cigarette smoke... like perhaps when it's not busy the staff goes back there to smoke. I'll pass on this place in the future. Thanks anyway.

Very old rundown restaurant. The staff is rude. They throw the water on the table and act like that are to busy to help you. The food is mediocre at best. Two thumbs down

We came in on a Saturday evening at 8pm. Their hours say 9pm and their open light was on. I was planning on getting food from the fryer. The fryer was already off. Then I decided something from the grill? The cook leaned out and said the grill was off and she would have to run in back on. So I ordered a dinner salad with French dressing. The salad had about an inch of water in the bottom and the dressing was the consistency of jelly. My husband ordered waffles. We felt like we were rushed the whole time... It's a SATURDAY!! In the defense of the server, she was friendly and did her job. Anyway, as we were leaving, a group of about 8 bikers pulled up. I wonder if they were treated the same way.

I knew this would not be a great place to eat but it was open Sunday noon and a lot of cars were parked next to it. My wife had a great omelette. I tried the chicken fried steak: not so good. Service was great. When I ordered wine I was warned in advance and it was not good, as predicted. It obviously has a locals following so the secret is to find out what is known to be good.

What can I say? This place is solid. Great breakfast fare, attentive staff (your coffee cup will never be empty) and the food is good. Great spot for locals and if you're into hunting, this is probably a frequent meet-up spot. We ate there 4 times while working in the area and it was consistent. And we'd gladly go there 4 more times.

The service around here is top of the heap, friendly, fast, on top of it. The grub .. not that good.

I went here for a nice Sunday breakfast and that's what i got.great friendly service.I had sonnys special. The serving wasn't that big for the price but I was content. They give you warm syrup with your meal which i love, not everyone does that .You get a discount if you are a visitor and you show them your room card which is always nice.Would definitely go back.Four stars due to my coffee cup was stained from coffee from the past which is a bit of a turn off

Nan: Give them one star. Nic: Why? You are so mean. The coffee was good, isn't that worth something? Nan: Yeah, it was good but I could have gone to Dutch Bros if I wanted coffee, and avoid having an upset stomach all day. And I don't care if you quote me! Nic: Okay. Sheesh. Nan: For a fry-aholic, it's pretty sad that I left fries on the plate. And you didn't even eat any of yours. If I wanted to eat raw potatoes, I could chomp 'm up right from the field. Nic: True. The fries were undercooked and limp, so I didn't eat them. And the Smokehouse burger was not very impressive, and tasted a bit weird. But the coffee was good. Nan: Yeah, the coffee was good. But the rest was bad. Nic: Maybe the breakfast is better? Nan: Not after seeing a load of grease dripping of a little gir's bacon when we walked in. I'm not willin to try it! Nic: Okay, crankypants!

Good customer service. Good biscuits and gravy. The rest of the food was less than average. Didn't like my omelet.

Stopped here for breakfast on the way to Boise. Not bad, typical diner fare. Clean and friendly staff.

We have eaten here for the past 3 nights and the food has been great. The waitress are outstanding. They even opened early one morning for us to eat before are hunt.

Considering that I was in cowboy country, I thought pork ribs would be a good choice - NOT! The meat tasted old, and it was obviously cooked several days-to a week previously, and warmed up to tepid! For $18. I expected far more - at least the beans were yummy!

We live in La Grande and the only reason I go here is because my son likes it. I will say I do love their hash browns (Denny's are so nasty). The coffee is ok, the scrambled eggs don't seem fresh and they don't use real cheese even on omlettes!

We came here to grab some breakfast on our family road trip from Boise to Otter Rock. The atmosphere is your typical breakfast diner with waitresses running this way and that and the smell of sizzling bacon in the air. I ordered the special of the day which was their Country Benedict (biscuits, sausage patty, and gravy) which was super. The sausage tasted fresh (not frozen) and had a nice spicy heat to it. The gravy was delish and not only complimented the sausage well, but also tasted pretty incredible on my hash browns. Based on my dish alone--definitely a four star. My dining companion ordered an omelet of some sort and said it was just ok (bummer). The service was a bit slow and neglectful. I can deal with slow service when it's busy (which it was) but I had to wait ten minutes for cream for my already poured coffee which seemed a bit ridiculous no matter how busy they were (so frustrating).

We eat breakfast here a lot. All breakfast items are so tasty. I'm most fond of the blintzes. The smokehouse burgers are incredible. I gave 4 stars instead of one because I wish they offered fresh fruit with breakfast and not canned. Always great service and they stay on top of coffee refills.
